Advice for what to do following treatment

Homeostasis

After your treatment your body will enter a rebalancing phase called homeostasis. To aid your body in this process, try to follow your specific aftercare as well as this general aftercare as closely as you feel able.

Rest

Try to avoid strenuous exercise for the next 12-24 hours. This will allow your body to rest and protect your muscles.

Stay hydrated

When muscles are worked you can lose water & electrolytes. Drink water regularly to rehydrate following treatment.

Avoid sunbeds & sun exposure

If any phototoxic oils have been used in your treatment avoid UV exposure to look after the skin & avoid burning.

Avoid drinking coffee & alcohol

Caffeine & alcohol will undo the relaxation effects of the treatment so try to avoid these for 12-24 hours.

Healing Crisis

During treatment your systems will begin flushing your body of toxins. This process may sometimes make you feel a little worse for a short period of time and is referred to as a healing crisis. Do not worry it shouldn't last very long before you feel better.

Eat light meals

Eat light meals the day following your massage to allow your body to focus on healing & eliminating toxins.
